The series, crafted by powerhouse photographer Ricardo Diaz, seeks to explore the question of homosexuality and its roots in nature through the perspective of the flower. The focus in the opening image is in the sunflower, displacing attention away from the usual focus of human subjects and framing them as the adornment instead. The relationship between man and nature is explored from this inverted perspective as the natural edges of the petals frame and complement the flowing physical structure of the man, creating a unique symbiotic bond within the images. Through this series, intimacy is at the forefront displayed through the nude male body, showing the soft beauty that lives within masculinity.
