Maybe you know him as the prank call guy or as the inventor of the catchphrase “shut up and fuck me”—but, either way, Dylan Kevitch is inescapable on your For You Page right now. And thank God for that.

The 27-year-old full-time TikToker has been absolutely blowing up lately, and for good reason: His signature brand of humor feels at once recognizable and new. Whether he’s trying to make a fake reservation for 16,000 people from his bed or pop, lock, and dropping it next to a grandma on the streets of New York City, Dylan is always unapologetically Dylan, which is something that he’s been his entire life regardless of what bullying classmates had to say about it.

With aspirations to be the gay Paris Hilton—and he’s already halfway there, because she invites him to all of her events—Dylan has the talent to do it all and, perhaps more importantly, the drive to make it happen.

Dylan Scott Kevitch is the definition of The Hottest Ever, which is why he’s been selected as So.Gay’s latest cover star. We caught up with Dylan to hear about his viral moments, career aspirations, celebrity stalkers and more.

SO.GAY: What was the first video of yours that took off on TikTok?

Dylan: The first video that took off is called “Awkward, like the fish.” I was calling a pizza place. It was on my birthday, and my name on there was “Awkward, like the fish,” and it really just stuck and got me going. I was just saying the craziest things, like, I had a friend that I said was named charcuterie board.

SO.GAY: Was that the first prank call you had done? Or was that just the first one that went viral?

Dylan: That was the first one that took off. I had a lot of other ones before, but that one was the one that made it a thing.

SO.GAY: When a video like that gets to that level of having, what, like 9 million views? Does it ever die down or go away? Or is it constantly popping back up for you?

Dylan: That one always gets likes from people, and people will sometimes see me and call me “Awkward, like the fish,” so…

SO.GAY: Maybe you need “Awkward, like the fish” merch..

Dylan: I do! But merch is just such a hard thing to do, because at the time, I only had like 100,000 followers, so like, literally, not even half of the people that follow me would even get it. But like, it really was a cute merch situation. I think I’ll definitely bring that back in the future.

SO.GAY: You totally should. And now you have a bunch of prank calls, so I’m guessing the move after you have such a hit is to try to replicate it, right?

Dylan: Yeah, I knew that the prank calls at the time were the ones that Tiktok was really pushing for. And sometimes people, if they see you do a specific niche, they follow you for that niche. So I would do my best to post all the prank calls in the world, but then also add in videos of me just talking, because, honestly, at the end of the day, I want to be the niche. I don’t want to have a niche, I am the niche.

SO.GAY: And it’s also not necessarily only about the prank call, it’s about your delivery.

Dylan: I like to incorporate some of my acting skills in there, so it’s not just me harassing people. Like, I’m putting on a show.

SO.GAY: There have to be some annoying people online who literally accuse you of harassing people.

Dylan: Oh, my God, of course. People are like, “You’re wasting people’s time” and like, I kind of am, but at the same time, they’re always going to remember that time that they wasted talking to me.

SO.GAY: How many times has the person on the other end of the phone call connected with you or seen your video talking to them?

Dylan: The one I just did, I was in Charleston. It was a reservation for 16,000 people, and she commented on the video. It was really funny.

SO.GAY: The other ones that we’re obsessed with are the “shut the fuck up and fuck me” videos you do…

Dylan: All I had to say was “shut up and fuck me” for people to really know who I am.

SO.GAY: That’s the new catch phrase.

Dylan: Yeah, that just started becoming a thing. Literally one day, I was putting on a cute outfit, I was so hungover, and I was just like, “I need to post something.” And I’ve been doing the street videos a lot of me just kind of dancing to “Pass That Dutch” and being iconic. And I was like, “You know what? Shut up and fuck me.”

SO.GAY: Are you doing TikTok full time?

Dylan: Yeah, I do TikTok full time. I’m not someone that can work a pedestrian job, okay? Like, I got fired from working at a restaurant just because I was not a good employee. So, like I had to become the job.

SO.GAY When did that happen?

Dylan: So I was a dancer before. I mean, I still like to move and groove here and there. Of course, I was a professional dancer on a cruise ship, and I liked it a little bit. I like the travel of it. But I was like, “Alright, this is just not the vibe for me.” Like, I need to be a star, and this isn’t giving, so when I got home from that, I started to post. I thought that this is a perfect opportunity to be famous So I was like, “Let’s just do prank calling. I’m so good at it.” So I started doing that. And then I moved back to the city, and I worked at the Little Gym.

So, I was doing that as I was making prank call videos and then my co-workers would see, and I’d be like, “This isn’t a good combination of being a Little Gym instructor and then harassing people on the phone.” So I literally one day didn’t want to go into work, and I had my friend make me a fake COVID card, but I accidentally needed the date in the future. And then my boss is like, “Okay, well, that’s kind of cool that you know you’re gonna get COVID in March 2025” when it was, like, 2023 and then she fired me, and that’s when shit really started to happen.

SO.GAY: Is the goal to dip your toes into other parts of the entertainment business?

Dylan: Basically, I want to be like the gay Paris Hilton. And, now, she invites me to all of her events. Her scouting me out was a huge dream of mine, because I looked up to her my whole life. So my goal is to literally be the gay version of her, and now that I have my catch phrase — “shut up and fuck me” — it’s like my “that’s hot” kind of thing. Like her, I want to also act and be in movies and make music, and that’s literally everything she does. I want to be like a Barbie. Barbie can do anything.

SO.GAY: What’s your favorite Paris Hilton pop culture moment?

Dylan: My favorite was when she was singing “Happy Birthday” to Hugh Hefner. I really love that; it’s just so funny. And obviously, anything “The Simple Life.” I loved the funeral episode.

SO.GAY: So, how do you make that jump from TikTok to doing other stuff?

Dylan: The next step is that I want to do acting—cameos and shows. My dream is to be in a horror movie. I really want to take my personality and all the characters I do so that it all makes sense of why I’m posting what I’m posting, because at the end of the tunnel, it’s literally me.

SO.GAY: Where are you most likely to get recognized?

Dylan: I get recognized, like, literally everywhere. Like, when I went to Charleston, I felt like I needed a bodyguard. The coolest time I’ve ever been recognized was in the Milan airport.

SO.GAY: So, outside of Paris, who obviously you’ve struck up a friendship with, who else has interacted with your content or proven to be a fan of yours that feels the most surreal?

Dylan: Joe Jonas has been liking all my things and following me. And I reached out to him and asked if he wants to make a cameo in my “shut the fuck up and fuck me.” And he said “yes,” so we’re still waiting for that. He literally answered right away, and I was like, “holy shit.” And then HarryJowsey has been really amazing and supportive. He’ll DM me and say the sweetest things, and obviously I’m obsessed with that because he’s fucking hot. Oh, and Doja Cat ‘stalked’ me the other week. Like, literally liked every single one of my videos.

So.GAY: Since we’re SO.GAY… what is “so gay” about you?

Dylan: What’s so gay about me? Honestly, like, everything from my nails, I make sure I’m always polished, and I’m just so unapologetically myself. I know that everyone says that, like, literally shut up. But no, seriously, I literally love being gay, like I am so thankful that I’m gay, because I feel like if I wasn’t gay, life wouldn’t be as fun.

I always knew I was gay. Like, there wasn’t, like, a second where I had to be straight. I I knew I was gay when I started getting bullied for being who I am, and yet I still stayed true to who I am, regardless of what people thought of things.
