One of LA’s fastest rising queer pop artists is back. GRANT KNOCHE has just released his new single “FRICTION” featuring Ella Collier. The song is a remix of the track of the same name from his 2025 album GOOD LUCK GETTING OVER ME. This new remix arrives ahead of the forthcoming deluxe version of the project.
The reimagined “FRICTION” expands on the infectious potential of the original. It swaps out the suave minimalism of the original for a more bombastic hyperpop-inspired sound. Collier’s soaring vocals add a rich new layer to this minor-key banger. If this is what GOOD LUCK GETTING OVER ME’s deluxe has to offer, it’s shaping up to be a must-listen.
“FRICTION” has always been one of my favorite tracks from GOOD LUCK GETTING OVER ME, but I felt like there was a whole other side of the song we hadn’t explored yet. Bringing Ella onto it completely changed the energy,” shared Grant. “I might be biased since I’ve lived with the original for so long, but I honestly think I might love this version even more. It’s bigger, bolder, and genuinely one of the most fun times I’ve had reimagining one of my own records.”
GRANT KNOCHE has made waves as an artist, songwriter, and producer in LA’s pop music world. Most notably perhaps, he co-wrote and produced ADÉLA’s breakout hit “Superscar,” which has been streamed over 100 million times worldwide. With his own artist project, Grant has amassed over 60 million streams from three studio albums. He recently played his first headline tour this spring at venues across the U.S., as well as Toronto and London. Grant is gearing up for his return to the road in early 2027 for a European tour.
