Doll Invasion hit Fire Island Pines this year bigger than ever – bringing together thousands of revelers for a self-called “fund-rager” that’s evolved from a house party hosted by the event’s creator and producer Fran Tirado into a full-blown 3-day experience that puts the trans community front and center of the typically cis gay male FIP.
One could argue that in just a few years, Doll Invasion has become one of Fire Island’s most famous events. Not only did big names like Adam Lambert, Chelsea Manning, and Dylan Mulvaney stop by this year, but coverage of the event ended up in Vogue.
