Overview:
Located on a side street in central Williamsburg by the BQE, this hip and casual gay bar with a relaxed and friendly neighborhood vibe is the closest thing to the Williamsburg Grindr grid brought to life.
Unlike the majority of gay bars, ordering cocktails is encouraged, instead of a standard vodka soda. They have a large menu of drinks, and their own beer too.
It’s tiny on the inside – and grows multiples in-size during the warmer months with their outdoor seating, and extremely nice outdoor seating area. It probably has the nicest outdoor seating birthed during the pandemic of any NYC gay bar.
Summer is when Exley thrives, when the skinny sidewalk outside becomes flanked with gays at all hours. It’s great to meet your friends, your friends’ friends, and that guy you’ve chatted with on Grindr all week.
