This gay podcast host just revealed his extremely problematic hookup habit

Gay podcast host, Big Dipper, is catching heat for his morally questionable hookup app ploy, and fans are turning against him for it.

The Sloppy Seconds podcast is hosted by drag star Meatball and rapper/comedian and gay bear Big Dipper. They interview queer celebrities and offer a hilarious look at sex, culture, and food.

On a recent episode with guest and drag queen BenDeLaCreme, co-host Big Dipper shared a disturbing hookup app tactic he runs to avoid coming face-to-face with someone he is potentially not attracted to.

“I sometimes give people my address but not my apartment number so I can look out the window,” shares Big Dipper.

“And then what happens?” asks BenDeLaCreme.

“Have you ever just stopped responding?” adds co-host Meatball.

“Yeah,” Big Dipper answers unapologetically.

“You ghost it and you don’t even say like, ‘Thank you but not for me?’” says BenDeLaCreme.

“‘Medical emergency?’” offers Meatball as a polite fake excuse.

But then, Big Dipper reveals what he actually does to avoid people he meets on hookup apps

He discloses that he actually gives these people the address of the apartment across the street from his. “And then when I see them looking around I’ll be like, ‘Oh I’m across the street in this unit,’ and then they’ll come over.”

Meatball and BenDeLaCreme take a beat to digest this.

Meatball hesitantly asks, “But if not then they’re banging on that person’s door?”

“If they wanna bang!” says Big Dipper as though he is free of responsibility in this situation. “I’m saying it’s clearly an apartment, it’s not a house,” he adds.

Then, Meatball and BenDeLaCreme really start to turn on him. Meatball tells Big Dipper that his ruse is “kinda mean,” to which Big Dipper responds, “Well it’s just a safety precaution for me.”

Big Dipper continues to defend his actions by saying that these are men he’s messaging who have no photos, but there’s no turning back. Meatball and BenDeLaCreme have no sympathy.

“You thought we were all gonna be on your side and now it’s like, you might be sick,” says Meatball.

“DeLa this is f*cked up, huh?” says Meatball.

“This is deeply f*cked up,” confirms BenDeLaCreme.

The troubling segment ends with Big Dipper saying that one person “only waited in the car like 20 or 30 minutes messaging me, ‘Are you there? Are you coming?’”

Meatball stands her ground and professes, “You’re sick!”

Fans of Sloppy Seconds took little time to turn against Big Dipper in the comments.

“How is it a safety precaution? If you find them attractive that means they won’t hurt you?” said one person poking holes in Big Dipper’s logic.

Another commenter wrote of their own experience being on the receiving end of Big Dipper’s ploy. “That’s a seriously f*cked up thing to do. I’ve been in that situation where I showed up at a hook ups apartment standing outside waiting for the apartment number and out of nowhere suddenly blocked. I had to take the bus cause at the time I didn’t have a car and it was 10pm at night. I absolutely felt like sh*t making the trek all the way back home.”

“If you’re not mature enough to answer the door to them, stop messaging faceless randos,” another summed up.

Meatball herself even jumped into the comments to double down on her opinion of Big Dipper’s problematic behavior. “Hi, I’d just like to say, if you listen to the entire episode, our guest and I both do not condone this behavior. I for one think this is despicable.”
