and produce events for people to connect, learn and celebrate.
Newport Rhode Island Pride Center Events
We organize events throughout the year to uplift, connect, and celebrate Newport County’s LGBTQ+ community. Since 2017, we host our annual Pride Month Events featuring our Queer Cruise, the Pride Ride Bike Parade & Festival, and many more community events.
Our Inaugural 2024 Autumn Weekend & Gala will take place November 8 – November 10 2024. The Holiday Art Market takes place every December at the Newport Pride Center. These events ensure our LGBTQ+ community has year-round events and representation.

We host various programs at our Pride Center and offer numerous community resources. Highlights include our Trans Joy Celebration, our monthly program Queer Connections, the Last Friday Socials, and year-round informational workshops. Check out our Pride Center Resource Table for LGBTQ+ health, wellness, and events. We also partner with local non-profits and organizations to make these programs possible! Our partners include the MLK Center, EBCAP, the Women’s Resource Center,
Conexión Latina, Newport Partnership for Families, and more!
Newport Rhode Island Pride Center Advocacy
We advocate for Newport County’s LGBTQ+ community! In 2022 Newport Pride painted Rhode Island’s first rainbow crosswalks, symbolizing visibility and support. These vibrant crosswalks are a beautiful addition to our city. Our advocacy has also led to meaningful recognition from city leaders. Thanks to our efforts, Newport’s mayor has issued an official proclamation declaring June as Pride Month. In celebration, the Pride flag is flown for the entire month of June. This is just the beginning for Newport Pride, and we are dedicated to achieving even more for our community.
The Newport Pride Center is located at 42 Spring Street, Newport RI.
