The long awaited month of Pride is here, at long last! Year round the girls, gays and theys sit and dream of the month of June – the camaraderie, the community, the march, and all of the incredible events that highlight queer history and experience.
This year – So.Gay takes you on a virtual tour of the New York City pride scene in partnership with Heritage of Pride, to see all of the best events, parties, and places to be.
We all love the usuals: the march (register here!), and the street festival (more info here!), but below are our top picks to try out something different this time around as well.
Youth Pride
Attention youngins! All those 16-24, you have your own space to comingle without leering eyes of the elder queers. NYC Youth Pride is happening June 19th, at South Street Seaport Museum – Pier 16, and The Seaport Pier 17.
Come experience all of the usual pride festivities, tailored to you.
Gay & Sober Cruise
While pride month is one big party – you can dance and not drink! There’s plenty to do that isn’t alcohol centric and Gay & Sober is the best place to do it.
This year – they’re taking it to the Hudson River on June 29th with a dance all night, alcohol free cruise. Featuring a world class DJ, all the Manhattan sites to see, and fireworks at the end of the night.
Road To Pride
With New York summer being the ever coveted, best feeling ever – why wait to start celebrating?
Both May 24th and June 14th join Road To Pride in bar crawls through the West Village and Hells Kitchen for the perfect Saturday bonding. Hosted by none other than the iconic Hanukah Lewinsky.

Criminal Queerness Festival
Come see Obie-Award winning annual event, Criminal Queerness Festival, highlighting and showcasing works from playwrights in countries where queerness is criminalized.
Running from June 11th to June 28th, they’re showcasing marginalized and oppressed peoples stories and art from around the globe. Grab tickets now, here.

The Official NYC Pride Party
Presented by Envoy Events and Heritage, the official pride of NYC party will be June 27th at Brooklyn’s iconic Duggal Greenhouse.
Come love loudly, celebrate proudly. Featuring artists Giolì & Assia, Chris Luno, Dim Kelly, Kim Anh. Dedicated to creating a space for community to flourish and grow. Grab tickets here.
