The Newport Pride Autumn Weekend is set to take place from November 8th – November 10th, promising 3 days of community, elegance, and Pride in the City by the Sea: Newport, Rhode Island. The weekend kicks off in style with a fabulous free Welcome Party on Friday, November 8th, at Newport Craft from 6 PM to 10 PM. Enjoy 2 live bands and a movie, while sipping craft beer, cocktails, mocktails, and indulging in hors d’oeuvres. It’s the perfect chance to meet fellow attendees and enjoy a Friday night out in Newport!

The highlight of the weekend is the Newport Pride Velvet Ball on Saturday, November 9th, held at the famed Ochre Court mansion. This event is the crown jewel of the weekend, where guests can look forward to an evening of Gilded Age elegance, unforgettable entertainment, and lasting memories. Enjoy lite bites, fine beverages, live classical music, Samba dance performances, and wrap up the evening with a DJ spinning dance music that will keep the energy high.
At the Velvet Ball, Daniel Cano Restrepo and Sean P. O’Connor will be honored with the Newport Neighbor Award for their tireless work in making Newport County a safer and more welcoming city for the LGBTQ+ community and allies.
