Fire Island is calling—and this summer, it’s getting mythical.
The Pines Foundation has officially announced the return of Pines Party, one of the most iconic LGBTQIA+ fundraising weekends, set to take over Fire Island Pines from July 31 through August 2, 2026.
This year’s theme, ALTAR EGO, leans all the way into transformation. Think fluid identity, elevated self-expression, and a full-on collision of fantasy and reality. It’s not just a party—it’s a ritual.
Since launching in 1999, Pines Party has grown into far more than a weekend escape. It’s become a cornerstone of queer community and celebration, all while raising critical funds for organizations like Stonewall Community Foundation, The Pines Foundation, and the Seashore Defense Fund.
For 2026, ALTAR EGO transforms the Pines into a living mythology. The concept draws from ritual, folklore, and performance—inviting attendees to step into archetypes that feel both familiar and completely otherworldly. Gods, heroes, muses, or something entirely undefined—the only rule is to show up as your most expressive self.
The weekend unfolds through a series of immersive moments, starting with an intimate VIP sunset experience and building into the legendary Beach Party. From there, the energy carries into the Pool Party and Morning Party, all leading up to the Closing Party—a final release where the entire community comes together one last time.
Throughout it all, world-renowned DJs, performers, and artists will soundtrack the experience, turning every moment into something unforgettable.
At its core, Pines Party 2026 is about more than music or nightlife—it’s about connection, expression, and stepping into something bigger than yourself.
Tickets are officially on sale now.
