“In Bloom” is a visual story exploring queerness through softness, movement, and emotional openness. The editorial challenges rigid ideas of masculinity and femininity, instead focusing on intimacy, vulnerability, and freedom.
Working with model Troy Lingelbach’s background in dance allowed the images to feel fluid and instinctive rather than overly posed. Movement became central to the story, bringing a sense of confidence, tenderness, and connection to each frame.
Flowers, natural textures, and the outdoor setting helped shape the romantic and grounded atmosphere of the editorial, balancing softness with physical presence. Visually, the story embraces organic and sculptural imagery, prioritizing emotion and gesture over perfection.
More than anything, “In Bloom” is about tenderness existing without apology.
