After touring internationally, BUTTTOOTKING has officially returned to the 3 Dollar Bill stage, where it all began. The drag revue stars the unholy trinity of Suzie Toot, Lydia “Butthole” Kollins, and Kori King. A mix of cabaret, club kid radiance, and full-scale musical theater parody, this show marked its first performance in Brooklyn, and it was a homecoming to remember.

From the jump, the energy in the room was electric. Suzie Toot opened the night with a titillating rendition of Sweet Transvestite that instantly reestablished her as both hostess and high priestess. Corseted and cackling, she stomped across the stage with the confidence of someone who knows they’re running the church of camp. Her performance wasn’t a nod to The Rocky Horror Picture Show; it was a full possession.

Next up was Miss Kollins, whose Lady Gaga mix—a frankensteined mashup of The Dead Dance,” “Can’t Stop the High, and Zombieboy—perfectly conveyed the Mayhem era aesthetic through her parallel drag style. Lydia’s numbers always flirt with decay and divinity, and this one was no exception: a dark strobe-lit disco séance, where pop music becomes both a weapon and a ritual.

Then, our queen Kori King, in a blaze of rhinestones and choreography, arrived to remind everyone why she’s one of Boston’s most magnetic performers. King’s Beyoncé “Homecoming” mix turned the stage into a stadium. Cascading through the crowd, she hit every beat with military precision.

Between acts, the audience took center stage with a costume contest that perfectly captured the chaotic energy of queer Halloween. Contestants ranged from Steve Harvey to Hannah Montana, a picture-perfect Chappell Roan-as-Statue-of-Liberty look, and even a troupe of Killer Klowns from Outer Space. It was messy, extremely niche, and magnificently on theme. Although Steve Harvey and Hannah took home the crown, Chappell was robbed, in my opinion.

As the night deepened, the queens doubled down on theatricality. Suzie and Lydia joined forces for a spooky monster duet, a grotesque yet oddly romantic number that blurred the line between puppetry and poetry. Then, Lydia and Kori transformed into Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas, delivering a hauntingly erotic performance. Finally, Suzie and Kori closed with a camp classic, Death Becomes Her, a fabulous send-off dripping in old-Hollywood rivalry and literal immortality.

By the final bow, it was clear BUTTTOOTKING is on track to become a staple among the RuPaul’s Drag Race tours, stitched together with humor, heart, and unfiltered chaos. Each number celebrated a different kind of power: Suzie’s fearless theatricality, Lydia’s punk-pop mysticism, Kori’s electric energy. Hats off to the Fiercely You Entertainment team and Flip Phone Events!

If this was their welcome home, then consider the queer undead officially thriving. At 3 Dollar Bill, BUTTTOOTKING didn’t just return; it reminded us why the art of drag continues to evolve, shapeshift, and refuse to die.
