Tyler Posey has admitted that he’s not sorry about sexually explicit material of him being leaked online.
The Teen Wolf star had some nudes leaked in early 2017 thanks to hackers. Videos of a naked Posey surfaced on the site formerly known as Twitter shortly after his Teen Wolf co-star, Cody Christian, fell victim to a leak himself. NSFW selfies of Posey were also leaked in the hack which the actor admitted he likely took on set!
“I guarantee I was on set for a couple of them, if not all of them,” Posey told AOL. “I was 18 when the show started and now I’m 25, so I’m kind of growing out of the nudes stage. But I was definitely at a time where I was doing that quite a bit.”
But Posey wasn’t embarrassed about the nude leaks, in fact he brushed it all off quite easily. Speaking to Variety, Posey stated of the NSFW photo leak, “I didn’t release an apology about it and that made it easier for people to forget about. I didn’t bring attention to it.”
Posey added that his management pressured him to issue a public apology. “They wanted me to [apologize],” he said. “They definitely wanted me to say, ‘Look, I’m sorry. I’m ashamed of myself,’ which I wasn’t, and I wasn’t sorry. I didn’t want to lie and say that.” Stand in your truth, Tyler!
Posey’s ability to shrug off his leaked nudes may be attributed to the comfort he developed with on-screen nudity on the set of Teen Wolf. Fans may remember the steamy shower hookup scene between Posey’s character (Scott) and Shelly Hennig’s character (Malia).
“She and I have grown up on the show together and become really close,” Posey said to AOL. “We were both going to be naked, so we were like, solidarity. We were both going to be going through it together.”
Since the nude leaks, Posey has gotten on OnlyFans and come out as sexually fluid. Posey also came out about having been with men on OnlyFans during a fan Q&A. “I haven’t had sex with a man,” Posey said in response to a fan question. “We’ve blown each other, you know what I mean? But never had sex. So, yes, I have been with men before.”
The Q&A created quite the commotion in the media. “I didn’t think about how it would be received or what kind of press I would get on it, but I woke up the next day and it was all these tabloids about me coming out as pansexual. I didn’t label that,” said Posey of his sharing his sexual experience. “I am a little taboo. I’ve always been a little bit edgier and sexually inclined and just wanting to push the envelope in a bunch of different ways.” Fair enough!
