Celebrating the Best in LGBTQ+ Entertainment and Pop Culture
Queerty, the premier LGBTQ+ entertainment news platform, is thrilled to announce the nominees for the 13th Annual Queerties Awards. The Queerties celebrate excellence across music, television, film, and beyond, shining a spotlight on LGBTQ+ creators, tastemakers, and storytellers who are often overlooked by mainstream award shows. “The Queerties gives voice to the LGBTQ+ community,” says Scott Gatz, CEO of Q.Digital, Queerty’s parent company. “It’s the pop culture awards show where queer people honor the best of the best, voting for the talent and creatives who inspire and pave the way for the next generation of queer youth.”
Voting for this year’s Queerties is now open here. Awards will presented at the live ceremony taking place on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at The Avalon in Hollywood. The Queerties will later stream on WOW Presents Plus.

This year’s nominees reflect an extraordinary year of LGBTQ+ representation and achievement. Pop sensation Chappell Roan and trailblazing trans Latina filmmaker and actress Nava Mau are among those competing in the “Badass” category, which honors standout LGBTQ+ newsmakers. Laverne Cox (Clean Slate) and androgynous Filipino-American fashion designer Zaldy Goco are in the running for “Style Icon,” while singer Khalid (“Satellite”), country star Maren Morris, and Drag Race alum Detox are among those celebrated in the “Coming Out for Good” category, recognizing individuals who courageously shared their coming-out stories in 2025.
In the performance categories, Elliot Page (Close to You), Justice Smith (I Saw the TV Glow), and Karla Sofía Gascón (Emelia Perez) vie for “Film Performance,” while Cooper Koch (Monsters: The Lyle and Eric Menendez Story), Yasmin Finney (Heartstopper), and Aubrey Plaza (Agatha All Along) are nominated for their television work. Emerging music stars Young Miko, Joy Oladokun, and Luxx Noir London compete for the coveted “Breakout Musical Artist” title.
Amid rising book bans, this year’s Queerties also spotlight LGBTQ+ literature with nominees for “Best Queer Read,” including American Teenager by Nico Lang, Rebel Girl by Kathleen Hanna, and The T in LGBT by Jamie Raines.
Nominees are chosen by Queerty’s editorial team, with winners decided by Queerty readers. Voting is open now through February 25, 2025.
