David Granados explodes onto the music scene with his debut single, “SATIVA.” This bold exploration of identity and liberation challenges taboos in a genre traditionally dominated by straight men. The track delves into David’s bisexuality, serving as an emotional coming-out story, and the dynamics of a passionate encounter during a sativa edible trip. Written in Miami after indulging in a sativa gummy following the Latin Billboard Awards, “SATIVA”  is an uplifting anthem with an infectious beat that encourages listeners to dance and embrace their true selves, making it the perfect summer soundtrack and leaving you feeling undeniably empowered. This is a powerful introduction to the reggaeton scene for this new talent.

David Granados is a Colombian artist renowned for his genre-defying music and unique individualism. His debut single celebrates his bisexual identity and challenges traditional gender norms, marking the beginning of a revolutionary urban music project. David’s passion for reggaeton began in his youth, but growing up queer in a traditional environment made it difficult to embrace. Everything changed when he  moved to New York City, where he immersed himself in the vibrant nightlife, mingling with influential icons, and embracing the city’s cultural wealth. His journey in the  fashion industry as a model led to collaborations with designers like Willy Chavarria  and Thom Browne, where he embraced a gender-fluid, bold visual style. His creativity flourished further when he worked as a Shark in Steven Spielberg’s “West Side Story” and on Ryan Murphy’s groundbreaking show, “POSE.”

David is dedicated to his community, aiming to create reggaeton that tells the stories of queer individuals and gives them something to dance to.
