So.Gay officially kicked off 2026 the best way we know how—by bringing community together.
We hosted our very first Community Ambassador Happy Hour at Balcon, welcoming 15 of our local Community Ambassadors alongside a few familiar gay tastemakers for an intimate evening of connection, creativity, and conversation. The goal was simple: share ideas, spark friendships, and build something real—offline.
The night was all about celebrating the people who help power So.Gay from the inside out. Between cocktails and laughter, ambassadors connected with one another, exchanged thoughts on culture and community, and leaned into what makes So.Gay more than just a media platform—it’s a space shaped by the voices within it.
To show our appreciation, we teamed up with incredible brands who spoiled our ambassadors with thoughtful gifts throughout the evening. Attendees received skincare favorites from queer-owned brand BYOMA, wellness products from from BUM, and a copy of The Book of Blood and Roses—plus a few extra surprises along the way — all in our brand new So.Gay tote.
We were also thrilled to welcome a special guest: the incredibly talented Lucas Stowe. Lucas joined us to share an exclusive sneak peek at our upcoming So.Gay x Lucas Stowe fashion collaboration, giving Community Ambassadors first access to preview the collection ahead of its official release.
This night was more than a happy hour—it was a reminder of why community matters. Becoming a So.Gay Community Ambassador means having a seat at the table and a voice within the fastest-growing #1 LGBTQ+ media platform in the U.S. Ambassadors receive exclusive event invites, special discounts from partner brands, free goodies, and—most importantly—become part of a supportive, creative, and loving community that shows up for each other.
