Overview of Industry, the NYC gay bar:
Industry looks like a movie set version of a gay bar and that’s not a bad thing — it screams ‘gay bar built in 2010’, and that’s part of Industry’s charm. Colorful and surprisingly spacious for a one-story gay bar in Manhattan, this long-standing institution is consistently filled with diverse tourists and locals. (I’m personally convinced that industry is the first establishment that pops up on Google when tourists search for gay bars.)
Industry has drag shows, dancing, and strong drinks. Very strong drinks that are also relatively affordable. And no cover. Industry has a big bar (and occasionally a second one in the back) and a big dance floor.
Industry is also across the street from Hush, formerly Therapy, making checking one out before or after the other simple – and encouraged.

Ambiance:
Divey without being dingy. Comforting, reliable, hasn’t changed much since it opened in 2010. Couches to the left-hand side when you want to sit down after dancing, or chat with friends. A large pool table upon entering. Big, long bar to efficiently order drinks from. A second bar opens in the back later in the week as the clock turns later. The bar in the back is a personal favorite of many.
Happy Hour: $2 off drinks 6pm – 9pm every day

Drag shows featuring queens including Kizha Carr, Pixie Aventura, and Holly Dae throughout the week Sunday – Thursday around 11PM. Rotating DJs throughout the week.
