A faster alternative to Viagra is on the rise.
ED medication has remained a steady, yet imperfect, treatment for a common problem for generations. Common medications like sildenafil (known by brand name Viagra) solve the problem effectively, but add a layer of complication to any user’s hopeful sexual encounter: they take 30 to 60 minutes to start working. This makes spontaneous or casual sex difficult for those who rely on the drug to perform. Roxus®, a brand new prescription nasal spray, claims to provide a faster-acting alternative to traditional oral ED pills.
Roxus® was initially created in 2023. by LTR Pharma, an Australian biopharmaceutical company. Their scientists had the idea to put the traditional ED drug vardenafil into nasal spray format, which would allow it to be absorbed into the user’s bloodstream much quicker.
According to the Roxus® website, their medication works by using “a PDE5 inhibitor that helps increase blood flow to the penis when you’re sexually stimulated. [Roxus’] intranasal delivery bypasses the digestive system, allowing the medication to reach the bloodstream faster than a standard oral vardenafil tablet.”
Dr. Andrew Sun, a member of LTR Pharma’s Scientific Advisory Board, stated, “In a high-volume men’s health practice, the same issues come up again and again: timing, predictability and side effects. ROXUS offers the rapid onset men want.”
According to published clinical trials, LTR Pharma’s claims of rapid onset are no marketing gimmick. A randomized study published in the European Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences found that intranasal delivery of vardenafil (5mg) caused peak blood concentration in a median of 10 minutes, while oral vardenafil (10mg) took 45 minutes. These results highlight the drug’s benefits as a much speedier alternative to traditional ED medication.
That being said, these results do not guarantee any one response to the medication. Faster absorption times do not necessitate faster or better results.
LTR Pharma announced in a recent press release that Roxus® is now available for order under prescription throughout the United States. A company spokesperson for the US distributor stated, “Roxus® is available following an eligibility review by a licensed clinician on Mavrox.com. Upon completion and approval, users can sign up for one, two and three-month subscription packages starting at $199 for one month (14 doses) up to $499 for three months (42 doses).”
It is important to note that Roxus® has not been approved yet for use by the Food and Drug Administration. The acting drug vardenafil has long been approved for oral use, but the nasal spray has yet to receive proper safety trials in the States. LTR Pharma executive chairman Lee Rodne said, “As Spontan moves through the formal FDA process, Roxus® offers a fast-track pathway to serve patients through personalised care channels.”
Despite its lack of FDA approval, prescribed use of Roxus® is entirely legal in the United States.
Roxus® has just recently launched on the U.S. pharmaceutical market in early October 2026. LTR Pharma hopes to earn the support of American sufferers of ED while they work to quickly gain FDA approval. Anyone hoping for a miracle cure may be disappointed. But if speed is your concern, Roxus® can help you rise to the occasion.
