A Mysterious Signal Sparks Hope in RADIO MAN, a New Off-Off Broadway Premiere

RADIO MAN is officially making its debut this spring—and it’s bringing a haunting, emotional story of survival, connection, and humanity to downtown New York.

Running May 1–10, 2026, at The Paradise Factory, the new play from Sarah Groustra (founder of 1319 Press) invites audiences into a ravaged world where human voices are nearly extinct—and one mysterious radio signal might be the last thread tying people together.

A Story About Survival—and the Need to Connect

At its core, RADIO MAN follows two sisters and a wounded stranger navigating a broken world. With society stripped down to its bare essentials, the play explores what remains when everything else is gone: trust, memory, and the desperate need for human connection.

The discovery of a faint radio signal becomes the emotional and narrative heartbeat of the story—offering a glimmer of hope in an otherwise silent world.

As marketing producer Trey Sullivan puts it, the show is about “what survives when the world strips everything else away… and the ways we still reach for intimacy, connection, and for each other.”

Why This Show Matters

In a time where connection often feels fleeting—even in a hyper-digital world—RADIO MAN taps into something deeply human: the fear of isolation and the hope of being heard.

It’s intimate, eerie, and emotionally charged—exactly the kind of storytelling that thrives in the Off-Off Broadway space.
