Balcon Salon turns up the heat this holiday season with “Brolesque: XXX-MAS,” a queer holiday burlesque show mixing striptease, comedy, and camp every Thursday night.

Balcon Salon in Hell’s Kitchen kicks off the holiday season with BROLESQUE: XXX-MAS, a high-energy holiday burlesque show running every Thursday at 10 p.m. The all-male cast blends striptease, dance and comedy in a late-night show featuring characters like the Gingerbread Man, Nutcracker, and a burly lumberjack. Audiences can expect group numbers, holiday classics reimagined, and performances set to hits including “Santa Baby,” “I Need a Hero,” and the “Mariah Mega Mix.”

The show includes interactive segments like The Oven Mitt Challenge, where guests compete to unwrap a present the fastest for prizes and laughs. Hosted by Phillip Evans, the show features acrobatic stunts, holiday flair, and performances by Felipe Ocampo, Christopher Patterson Rosso, Gabriel Reyes, and Jason Caroll. BROLESQUE: XXX-MAS is free for guests 21 and over with a two-drink minimum.

“Spaces like Balcon Salon give us the freedom to tell our stories on our own terms — through humor, movement, and a little glitter,” said Lockhart Brownlie, creator, producer, and choreographer of the show. “Especially during the holidays, when things can feel isolating for many queer people, BROLESEQUE offers a place to connect, celebrate, and just feel good. At the end of the night, I hope people leave smiling, maybe a little flushed, and reminded that queer joy is resistance. We can be sexy, silly, and sincere all at once — and that’s what makes this show so special.”

Since opening in 2023, Balcon Salon has become one of the only venues in Hell’s Kitchen dedicated primarily to queer artistry. The space showcases far more than drag—it’s home to a range of creative productions by queer performers. Highlights include Apocalypse Noir, a live-singing trio led by Andrew Barret Cox; The Gaga Ball, a monthly spectacle starring 10-year Lady Gaga impersonator Nick Gaga; and Unhinged: Talent Show on Tuesdays, a weekly community showcase hosted by Svetlana Stoli, where performers compete for a cash prize. On weekend late nights, the theatrical venue transforms into a nightclub where guests can dance the night away. All events are 21+ and completely free to attend.

“Our goal has always been to make queer art and nightlife accessible,” said Eric Einstein, owner of Balcon Salon. “That’s why all our shows are free — we want everyone to feel welcome, whether they’re coming to cheer on a friend, see a drag icon, or discover something new. It’s about building community through shared experience.”
